Introduction to DeltaCabinetSM
DeltaCabinet is a full-featured Document Management System delivered ready for use over the web. Only an internet connected computer is required to work with DeltaCabinet. The application is designed for enterprise class needs but the interface is designed for the busy business users who just want to use the service.
- Zero-Training Web Interface – A personalized, intuitive and easy to use user-interface using a file cabinet metaphor. Staff, customers and suppliers will immediately understand it.
- Customized Naming Convention – Each customer can define their own taxonomy to organize their documents. Employees and contractors are not required to learn new terms to use the system.
- Audit Trails with Version Control – A complete history of all user activity is available for each document. Only the latest version is normally released, but all versions are available on demand.
- Universal File Type Support– Continue to use your existing software packages to create and edit documents. Web-viewable versions are created for all common files types. All documents can be downloaded and used in their original formats.
- Search & Find – Find documents by navigating the system or by searching. The powerful search function can key off your corporate terminology or by any word in a document.
- Notification & Workflow – Get e-mail notifications of any document activity, e.g. changes, new uploads or viewing. The documents can also be routed through an approval process before being released.
- Access Control & Security – Access is controlled by the users ID. Users without sufficient access will not be able to access the files, nor know of the file's location or even of its existence.
- Scanned Documents – Use a dedicated scanner tightly integrated with the system or a scanner attached to your computer. A powerful OCR engine converts most scanned documents into text searchable format.
